Fundamentals First Academy offers Tee Ball. After a fun spring season of tee ball, we invite families to sign up for fall tee ball. While we mix all the children, grade appropriate, regardless of school, we will keep children from the same school together. The Instructional Tee Ball program runs Sundays, starting on September 7, 2025, and running for eight consecutive weeks, concluding on October 26, 2025. The program may begin as early as 8:30 AM based on the number of children registered and will run each subsequent half-hour, 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, etc. This year, we welcome TK, K and first grade teams (must turn five by September 1, 2026).
All sessions take place at Archbishop Riordan High School on Sundays. Games will run as early as 8:30 AM.
The field is synthetic, allowing play to occur during inclement weather.
Our goal for the children is to experience the sport of baseball in a caring and nurturing way. We aim for the children to learn sportsmanship, teamwork, and, most importantly, having fun participating in sports. Our programs are heavily team-based; however, there are opportunities for individual players.
Our instructional tee ball program is open for children in grades TK and K. Children are taught fundamentals at each level, with a clear progression path each week. As with our basketball and soccer programs, there are no additional days for practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the league co-ed?
Yes, both leagues are co-ed.
Does our team need a coach?
We will have one FFA staff officiating and another working with the teams during the skills sessions.
We encourage teams to have a team manager to assist our staff with drills if needed.
What time should we arrive for our game?
Players should arrive five minutes before the scheduled start time.
What uniform should my child wear?
Each child will receive a league jersey.
The children should come wearing tennis or turf field shoes. Cleats are not required.
Are there separate days for practices?
No, the sample schedule is listed above.
What are the minimum and maximum number of players on a roster?
For TK/Kinder and first grade, the minimum number of players is ten, and the maximum is fourteen.
Can exceptions be made, and teams go over the maximum?
We will honor the request as long as the team is okay with having more than the suggested maximum and knows that the amount of playing time is less for each child. Again, we do not recommend this practice.
Can exceptions be made, and teams be under the minimum?
With many activities and commitments for families, we must have the minimum number to ensure enough to avoid forfeits, which impacts other teams. We will have individuals register and can place those children on your team.
At what age is my child eligible for this program?
Any child who turn five by September 1, 2026 can sign up.
